President Abraham Lincoln was the 16th P.O.T.U.S of The United States. On April 14th, 1865, President Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth at Fordes Theatre. President Lincoln was in a cheerful mood that day, because the war had ended, and went to Fordes theatre with Mary Lincoln, Clara Harris, and Major Rathbone, to enjoy a play. Unfortunately, Booth had different ideas on how that day would go. While President Lincoln was watching the play, Booth had snuck into the Presidents box above the stage-that's where Lincoln was-and shot him in the head. In the end, President Abraham Lincoln died.
This whole catastrophe might not have happened if one simple event had changed. An event as small as someone tripping on a stone could have changed everything. I have a few theories to share today on: How could Lincoln's assassination been prevented? First, if slavery hadn't been an issue in the first place then war would not have occurred, thus preventing a particularly happy day. Second, if Booth hadn't been an actor he wouldn't have known his way around the theatre, which would create complications in his plan. Lastly, if President Lincoln had better security for himself, then it wouldn't have been as easy as it was to assassinate him. All in all, though, things happen for a reason; concluding that what would have happened in history if Lincoln hadn't been assassinated?
