Aside from the treatment of animals, switching to a vegan lifestyle helps the planet. The animals need water. A pig needs an estimate of 75 million gallons of water a year! That's a lot of water from our planet; and all that water could be given to people who don't get fresh, clean water. Same thing with food, it takes 41 million tons of plant protein to feed U.S. livestock for one year. People in need of food and dying of starvation could eat that food. Also, let's not forget about health. When you eat chicken you're also eating antibiotics, growth hormones, and many more unnatural ingredients. It's not just the chickens, it's every animal. They are injected with the unnatural ingredients to make them more desirable; when in fact, you would not eat any of the stuff injected into the animal alone if you knew it was there. Overall, the consumption of meat, dairy, and egg is unhealthy. In conclusion, veganism is for the animals, the people, and the planet. There's always more to the story, such as animal testing and animal skin/ fur clothing; which I haven't touched as a topic today. Also, fish are not victimless. Maybe another day I can talk about the things I didn't mention in this post. I hope that in the future the world's population will come to a realization of how humans use and abuse animals to our advantage and their disadvantage. Vegan Facts:

Some movies to watch about health/veganism: How do I deal with change? Honestly, I'm a very adaptable person. When something in my life changes, I just go with the flow. Although this is true, I could still be sad at times. Change can be frightening. Some may want to run and hide from the world; while others-like me-adjust quickly. I do remember though, at one point in my life, I had to move to a different home, switch schools, and make new friends. All in one school year. It was scary for me at first because I didn't know anybody. At all. In the end though, I met amazing people who became amazing friends, and I was completely and utterly happy with my life. The point is, change may be scary at first, but great things can come from it.
